Event Description

The Kent Freedom Movement are once again supporting our members in Havering Magistrates Court.

This is the continuing saga of Alan and his experiences with British Transport Police and their use of an angle grinder to force their way into Alan's Scrap Metal Yard. Which resulted in Alan and Eddie being accused of Obstruction!

Yes you have heard that right, BTP actually used an angle grinder!!! and trapped Alan and Eddie in the buiding and used excessive force to drag them out torturing them in the process.

Scrap Metal Dealers Act Part 2

Here is part two of two, around the 5min mark the police just proceed to angle-grind the man's metal bars off the office in his scrap-dealers yard. Alan a scrap-dealer by trade and businessman from Collier Row, Essex, has been defending his rights in wanting to know why the British Transport Police are wishing to search his premises without a legally signed and sealed warrant. In Part 1 of these video's you can hear one of the officers clearly state; "We haven't used a seal for a number of years." - "We don't even need a warrant."

If that's the case then it's advisable anyone else getting such an illegal request or order put in front of them, for them to also challenge such a illegal warrant, for all warrants should be stamped by the court before being issued. And if its been the case that they have been doing so for a number of years, then again we have to question; "Whose really in charge of running our land?"

Is it now British Transport Police? We understand they have the same powers of the police, but why is their jurisdiction being widened?

Alan's business premises or land is not owned by British

Transport, so if anything it's a local police matter.

The true reason Alan, a proud father of three and long time protester, campaigner for all things unjust to the common man, woman and child and a long time friend of Father's for Justice campaigner Eddie Goldtooth, is standing up and fighting such a clause recently brought about in the new Scrap Dealers Act of 2012, is that he is taking the moral high ground and should be given the full support by other scrap metal dealers also being forced into a similar situation, which is to now turn away the homeless and hungry who depend on such charitable scrap dealers like Alan.

He said: "I know what it is like to be homeless and hungry and know many people both homeless or homed and who are going hungry or without heat. They can hardly feed or heat themselves as they fail for benefits as they go under the radar and classified as no fixed abode. Some just wish to feed their pets properly....

These type of desperate people collect small bits of copper wire or a few odd pipes and tin cans throughout the streets of "Great Britain" and rely on dealers such as Alan, for he will pay them in cash, it might only be £10 to £30 at times, but at least they had that to get them-by and until the next time. The new "Act" has stopped these people from being able to do this, so causing even more unnecessary pain and poverty.

Of course there has been a lot of theft on the railway lines and cost the network millions of pounds. It also hit a raw nerve when many a bronze war memorial or plaque and famous works of art started to get stolen and then sold on to some dodgy dealer for a pittance.

But many dealers, such as Alan is dead against such illegal activities and practice, he is even known to have chased some lads out of his yard when he realised they were trying to sell what appeared to be death plaques, he tried to get them off them, but they got away. He said; "Those little shits, they have no respect for the dead, and I'd shop anyone like that all day long, but that's not what might fight is all about. Us scrap dealers are now having to refuse to trade with these type of homeless and desperate people and all because the new "Act" requires us to ask people to produce ID. Most of these people don't have any ID and why they're not recieving benefits, as they can't even produce a N.I. number, and that don't mean their all foreigners turning up, many are born and bred in the UK people and are in such a poor state. Someone's got to stand up and fight and if it means it has to be me, then so be it, though a bit more support from other dealers wouldn't go amiss. They are imposing stautes that don't really exist, it's criminal to enforce laws that aren't real. They wouldn't even wait until my legal advisor arrived, knowing he would state out the obvious, no court stamp on the seal section of the warrant which proves it's been through the legal channels. What they trying to tell us they are regularly using warrants that have not been approved by a judge or magistrates, what's going on in our judicary? "
