As Greed Destroys Mankind

A doctor saves a thousand lives, 
But greed will take a thousand more.
As money chooses who survives
And who will knock on Heavens door.
Our food could feed the world around,
But greed will always hold its place
And where the heart of greed is found
Is, deep, within the human race.
We watch the greed destroy mankind,
But many don’t care what they see
As pride tells them within their mind;
That they’re above, humanity.
This greed will rank men, here on earth
While pride will force them to believe
That not all people have a worth
And all deserve what they receive.
To those that think they are on top
Please take a look at those below;
For if they move then all will drop
And one may find they’re ranking low.
I dream one day we’re side by side
Where greed no longer plays a part
And man can free himself of pride
And share the love within his heart.
